Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Jammu – Drive to Katra
Arrive at Jammu Airport or Railway Station and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Katra. Check in at hotel and rest. Evening visit to local bazaar or optional hot water spring at Nau Devi. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Darshan
Early morning trek to Vaishno Devi Temple with options for pony or helicopter rides for elders and children. Return by late evening or night. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 3: Katra to Pahalgam (8 hrs drive)
Scenic drive through valleys and tunnels with en route visits to Banihal Tunnel and Awantipora ruins. Reach Pahalgam by evening and overnight stay.
Day 4: Explore Pahalgam
Visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari using local taxi. Enjoy pony rides, riverside picnic, and Lidder River views. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 5: Pahalgam to Gulmarg (5 hrs drive)
Drive through saffron fields to Gulmarg. Check in and relax. Evening at leisure in the meadows. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
Day 6: Gulmarg Sightseeing
Take Gondola rides (Phase 1 & 2) to enjoy snow and panoramic views. Participate in sledding, snow biking, or skiing (seasonal). Visit St. Mary’s Church or relax at vintage cafes with hot chocolate. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
Day 7: Gulmarg to Srinagar + Srinagar Sightseeing
Drive to Srinagar (2 hrs). Check in at houseboat or hotel. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, Mughal Gardens (Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi), and Hazratbal Shrine. Enjoy a sunset Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight houseboat stay recommended.
Day 8: Day Trip to Sonmarg or Local Markets
Optional day trip to Sonmarg for snow valley and Thajiwas Glacier (3 hrs one way) or shopping in Srinagar (Pashmina, saffron, dry fruits, paper mache). Drop at Srinagar Airport as per flight timings.
