Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Local Exploration in Anantnag
Arrive via Srinagar Airport and drive 2–2.5 hours to Anantnag. En route, visit Awantipora Ruins (8th-century Vishnu temple). Check-in at hotel or homestay in Anantnag. Visit Martand Sun Temple and Shiva Bhagwati Temple in Aishmuqam. Evening walk through the local bazaar and enjoy dinner at a local Kashmiri Wazwan kitchen.

Day 2: Kokernag – Daksum – Sinthan Top Loop
Drive 30 minutes to Kokernag to visit botanical gardens and trout fishery. Proceed to Daksum (30 minutes) for forest walks and picnics. Continue to Sinthan Top (45 minutes), a high-altitude pass with panoramic Himalayan views. Optional light trek or relaxation. Return to Anantnag or stay overnight at Daksum huts or eco stays.

Day 3: Verinag – Achabal – Departure
Drive 45 minutes to Verinag, source of Jhelum River, and explore Mughal gardens. Visit Achabal Garden with its springs. Optionally extend the trip to Aharbal Waterfall (1.5–2 hrs away). Depart for Srinagar Airport (2.5 hours).
